Australian victim named in Kenya shopping mall attack

AUSTRALIAN architect Ross Langdon has been named as one of the victims of the Al Shabab massacre in a Kenyan shopping mall on Sunday.

Various media outlets on Monday identified joint Australian-United kingdom national, Mr Langdon, as one of those killed.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has not yet confirmed whether Mr Langdon was the victim.

It is understood the man was killed when members of the Al Shabab terrorist group opened fire in a Nairobi shopping mall.

The attack led to a major police operation after members of the group took numerous hostages inside the mall.

It is understood at least 60 people were killed in the initial attack, but Kenyan authorities have not yet confirmed the final number of casualties.
