Aussie mum, sons reported missing at Japanese ski resort

AN AUSTRALIAN mother and her three sons have reportedly gone missing at a ski resort in Japan.

ABC News' Tokyo correspondent, Rachel Mealey, tweeted on Tuesday morning the family "failed to return" to Nozawa Onsen ski resort. She tweeted that the search will resume today.

The woman is believed to be aged in her 50s.



A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesman said officials were "looking into the matter."

Nozawa Onsen Japan is a hot spring and ski resort village near Nagano.
