Attempted abduction reported in Yamba

UPDATE: NSW Police are appealing for witnesses after two children were approached at Yamba yesterday.

About 1.30pm yesterday, two eight-year-old boys were playing at a caravan park on Harbour St when a vehicle stopped near them.

The male driver told the kids to get into the car before driving off. There was also a female passenger.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, early 20s, short brown hair and an average build. He was wearing a grey-coloured shirt.

The woman was also described as being of Caucasian appearance, early 20s and long brown hair.

They were driving a small silver vehicle with yellow number plates and 'P' plates.

Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command would like to speak to anyone with any information.
