Art lovers jump into Briary patch

THE tree-covered Nymboida hills served as a perfect backdrop for the second Art in the Paddock installation yesterday, as some 250 art lovers took advantage of the stunning winter weather and called into The Briary Function Centre for a peek.

Many of the visitors picnicked or bought a gourmet sausage sandwich as they inspected the works of 35 artists both inside and outside the centre.

The Briary's operator, Ruth Passmore, said the “fabulous” day drew people from as far as Yamba and Glen Innes.

Presented by The Gallery Foundation, Art in the Paddock moves to a different location each year.
