A packed Byron Bay Services Club on Saturday night saw Danny Wills crowned Byron Bay's number one surfer of all time.
Second on the list was the Bay's first fulltime surfing pro and now successful businessman, Gary Timperley.
Coming in third was Kieren Perrow, with Brendan Margieson fourth.
Sharing equal fifth spot were Rodney Anderson, Noel Graham and Peter Phelps.
Eighth spot was filled by Jeremy Byles, with Ant Mikellides ninth and Craig Warton tenth.
The night was organised by the local surfing fraternity as a fundraiser for the victims of the Sri Lankan tsunami with seven judges charged with nominating their 10 best surfers.
Another highlight was an auction of surfing memorabilia including surfboards donated by several of the top 10 surfers.
The night raised more than $11,000.
Helping to reach that target were $1000 donations from Gary Morgan and Style Surfing School, Byron Bay Services Club and Dick Ash from Okanui.
