The Byron Bay Surf Club boat crews competed at a VB Cup carnival at Tugan on the weekend in big seas and coming away with mixed results.

The Byron Bay masters crew consisting of Neil Cameron, Rob Marr, Mark Knott and Rod Teal put in an outstanding performance to win.

Byron Bay Red Devil Juniors consisting of Jacob Tate, Sean Petrou, Tom Armstrong and Ben Penprase placed second overall another good effort with good crew skills shown to master the overhead surf conditions.

Reserve grade, Cheerio Juniors and the women's crews all competed courageously but unfortunately succumbed to the conditions of the day.
