Anne Hathaway too trusting of men
ANNE Hathaway thinks she can be "too trusting."
The 27-year-old actress - whose former boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in 2008 after pleading guilty to cheating investors out of millions of dollars -spoke about her struggle in the aftermath of their split following the fraud investigation.
Admitting it had left her "very wary", she added: "It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, but once I do and I get to know someone, I'm very open, very trusting. Some might say too trusting."
Although jewellery given to the 'Devil Wears Prada' actress by her ex-boyfriend was auctioned off by U.S. authorities in June, she can now joke about her ordeal.
When asked to name her "deal-breakers" with men, she replied, "Uh ... fraud?"
The brunette beauty revealed filming her new movie 'Love and Other Drugs' with Jake Gyllenhaal proved therapeutic as it helped her to confront her feelings.
Speaking about the trust theme in the movie, she told America's Vogue magazine: "I was a wreck from start to finish. I think I cried every single day."
Raffaello is not the only one of Anne's boyfriends who has been in trouble with the law.
Actor Adam Shulman - who she has been dating since 2008 -escaped criminal charges earlier this year when he agreed to return a valuable painting he took from a street artist.
