Acmena staffer in the clear

THE Department of Juvenile Justice has followed the lead of police and will not proceed with a case against an Acmena staff member accused of inappropriate sexual conduct with two juvenile inmates.

A spokesman person said the department had been advised by police that there was insufficient evidence for the case to proceed.

It is understood the allegations involved inappropriate touching during an indoor soccer game.

The department said the man at the centre of the allegations was still working at Acmena on a separate project and it might be some time before he returned to his previous role.
