Spray painter accused of dealing ice to face court

SPRAY painter Scott James McClure, 30, will stand trial in the Supreme Court on Crown charges alleging he trafficked in dangerous drugs, methylamphetamine at Clinton between September 9 last year and February 22, 2016.

Appearing via video link before Gladstone magistrate Richard Lehmann, McClure's lawyer agreed a prima facie case exists.

Police prosecutor Sgt Barry Stevens lodged a series of documents and witness statements, including extracts taken from McClure's mobile phone.

A Supreme Court date will be set at Rockhampton.

He will remain in custody.

He is one of many people charged in the Gladstone and Boyne Island area following Operation North Oxbow.
