About 250 turn out to celebrate reconciliation at Byron Bay

A LARGE crowd has gathered at Byron Bay to march for reconciliation as part of the town's NAIDOC activities.

The group marched up Jonson Street from the Peace Pole at Railway Park towards the Main Beach, where dancing, music performances, BBQ and children's activities are being held.

The march is the latest in a series of NAIDOC Week activities for the region, with others including a march at Ballina and a flag-raising and awards ceremony at Byron Bay.
