Unlicensed driver involved baby in high-speed car chase
AN unlicensed driver took a baby and a toddler on a high-speed car chase in Sydney on the weekend.
The "unbelievable" incident saw a woman running a red light and hit five cars.
Police say a 33-year-old was behind the wheel of a station wagon that ran a red light on the M5 Motorway at Moorebank.
Patrolling officers flashed their lights and sirens but the driver allegedly accelerated to 110 kilometres in a 60kmh zone.
The car side-swiped three parked vehicles, hit the back of another car, slammed into a van and came to a stop in the front yard of house.
Police found a 14-month old girl and a three-month-old boy were also in the car.
The driver was arrested and police said her road-side breath test was negative.
"People with children usually drive pretty responsibly," NSW Police Inspector Ken Hardie told Sky News.
"That (the incident) is just unbelievable." - APN NEWSDESK
