Prison riot in Bolivia leaves dozens dead

THE death toll from a prison riot in Bolivia has reached 31.

Among those dead include an 18-month-old toddler.

Under Bolivian law, children under six years old can live in jails with their parents if there is no one else to care for them, according to the BBC.

Thirty-seven inmates were also seriously injured after inmates blew up two gas tanks.
