Phil Taylor wins 14th world darts title

WORLD champion Phil Taylor had never lost in a world matchplay final before taking on Adrian Lewis in Blackpool yesterday, and he kept that record going to win his 14th title.

Taylor, 53, beat his fellow Englishman 18-13 to claim his sixth successive crown.

It was a high-quality contest with 27 maximum 180s in the 31 legs.
