Man charged with high-range drink driving twice in two hours

A NEW South Wales man has been charged with high-range drink driving twice in less than two hours on the state's north coast.

Police allege the 41-year-old returned a positive test on Saturday at an RBT in Argenton, at Lake Macquarie near Newcastle.

The man was told he had to leave his car on the side of the road and was driven home by police.

Police allege a few hours later they saw the same man return to his car on a bicycle and then drive his vehicle a short distance before he was stopped.

He returned another positive test and was charged again with high-range drink driving, as well as driving while suspended.
