Accused in beheading case to enter plea of Friday

THE man accused of beheading Broadwater's Edward "Ned" Kelly is expected to enter a plea in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday.

Jonathan Andrew Stenberg allegedly murdered Mr Kelly on the NSW North Coast in June last year.

When Mr Kelly's body was discovered, a hat had been placed where his head - which has never been found - should have been.

Police tracked Mr Stenberg to a remote camping site in the Northern Territory where he was arrested two weeks later.

Mr Stenberg is due to front a Sydney court at 10am.
