$350 Splendour tickets to go fast

David Nielsen

IT may set you back at least $350 to go to Splendour in the Grass this year but with acts like The Strokes, Mumford and Sons, pictured, Scissor Sisters and The Ting Tings confirmed on the line-up there won't be any shortage of takers.

For the first time, the country's most popular mid-winter festival will call Woodford home as it marks its 10th birthday this year. It will celebrate with the longest festival in the event's history as it stretches the 81 acts announced so far over a three day musical extravaganza.

Today, ESP Magazine has the complete line-up but even in the time between the magazine going to print and the line-up announcement yesterday, Splendour organisers were adding more names to the list.

Some fans have been upset about the increased cost of tickets this year, but with last year's ticket price being $240 for event only tickets and an extra $132 if you wanted to camp, the 2010 prices are comparable given the event will have an extra day this year.

Event only tickets will cost $350 and camping tickets cost $450. Woodford has a 30,000 person capacity with 20,000 camping spots Tickets go on sale on Thursday May 6 at 9am.

They will be available at or by calling 1300 438 849.
