Video highlights: Awesome vision from the Color Movement

COLOR Movement came, saw and conquered the Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast Stadium launched the global event yesterday with 3500 punters young and old streaming through the gates to take part.

It was hours of epic fun featuring 300 litres of foam, 10 tonnes of colour, 12L of slime and five kgs of confetti.

You'd walk in to a spray of colour, you'd taste it, you'd see it, you'd feel it.

Music was pumping, the main stage a buzzing moshpit. Like organiser Tim Wiche predicted, the rain made it even better.

"Everyone had a blast, the feedback was overwhelming, kids were saying it was the greatest day of their lives," he said.

"And that is what it is all about. So successful. Knowing everyone had a good time was great.

"We aim to be back next year and again try to innovate something new and go one better.

"Already overnight we've had calls from the States and Japan to see how it went. So the eyes of the world were really on the Sunshine Coast for our global launch."

The foam pit was chaotic - in a good way. Its foam cannons causing fun and games all afternoon.

If you've been to a colour run and passed this off then it is your loss. This was everything plus more. A colour run on steroids.

German students on exchange at Caloundra State High Selina Geys and Leone Kilnzel have only been in the country three months but have already ticked something off the bucket list.

The 16-year-olds absolutely loved it.

"We have done something similar in Germany but not this big, we are having so much fun," Ms Geys said.

"The colours, the music, the main stage, all the foam is amazing.

"It is cold but very fun. We both are loving Australia. The beaches are great and so are the people, we are having such a good time."
