10 upcoming sequels to classic movies
REMAKES of older movies seem to be all the rage these days, but are they all a good idea? Cast your vote for what you think of these 10 comebacks.
1. Alien 5
It was 1979 when the first Alien movie was released.
Yep, back then $4000 could buy you a new car and no one knew what an iPhone was.
The fifth movie is said to have a more horror flavour, but will still be directed by Ridley Scott and will star 65-year-old Sigourney Weaver.

2. Beetlejuice 2
Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are scheduled for a comeback with the return of Beetlejuice.
The original film came out in 1988 and a script has been written for another film though filmmaker Tim Burton said he wouldn't call it much of a sequel.

3. Beverly Hills Cop 4
The return of Axel Foley (Eddy Murphy) for Beverly Hills Cop IV was originally set for a March 2016 release date and no new date has been set as yet.
This is apparently due to the film's makers wanting to ensure everything is perfect for the script.
The original set of movies grossed hundreds of millions.

4. Blade Runner 2
Blade Runner was possibly one of the edgiest science fiction films ever made.
A sequel to the neo noir flick is set to begin production in mid-2016, but would it ever live up to the 1982 original?
Only time will tell.

5. Bill and Ted 3
Slowly does it, and the third Bill and Ted movie is still in the process of being developed.
What can we expect? Who knows at this stage, but a third film would have an awful lot to live up to.

7. Blair Witch Project 3
The third Blair Witch movie was originally announced 15 years ago and apparently is a bit like a bottle of a certain famous shampoo - it won't happen overnight, but it will happen, according to filmmakers.
One would have to wonder what the value was for any sequels to the original horror film, which used "found footage" to set a chilling atmosphere that all but vanished once the world realised it was just a mock-up.

8. The Ring 3 (US)
Some people are already speculating that the third Ring movie, Rings, could be a little less VHS and a little more social media, but details about the film are scarce.
The original 2002 movie remake of a 1998 Japanese horror film was a massive success and inspired a whole string of spooky films.
Rings is set for a November 2015 release.

9. Jurassic Park
Rumours are flying faster than a hungry pterodactyl about what we can expect in future Jurassic Park movies.
Of course the original 1993 film has now had three sequels and it seems crystal clear we're getting more.
The most recent, Jurassic World, seemed to go right back to the original movie quite heavily and it seems the film's makers are drifting more towards embracing the relationship between humans and dinosaurs which should be interesting.
