Byron Bay Surf Club continued its winning run at the recent NSW State Surf Life Saving titles at Swansea.
The club finished in the top 20 of the state, the strongest performing club of the FNC, Mid North Coast and North Coast.
Byron Bay’s ski paddlers have been in fine form this season and it carried over at Swansea, with the U17 boys excelling.
Twins Tom and Alex Burns finished first and third respectively in the single ski race.
The club had four finalists in this race, showing what depth the club has in this area.
Tom and Alex then teamed up with Torrie Callan to claim second in the U17 ski relay and third in the U19 ski relay.
Alex and Tom again competed up an age group with a bronze in the U19 double ski.
Tahnee Fleming had a successful carnival, winning the 19s age group ironwoman, second single ski and then combining with younger paddlers Brooke Yopp and Kim Chappel to place third in the open ski relay final.
Byron Bay Surf Club is now looking forward to the Australian titles this month at Kurrawa Beach.
