Cricket club and Bowlo forge links

Bowling club secretary-manager Mark Brown and local cricket executives Greg Daniels and Matt Irwin are very excited about the new deal.

The Byron Bay Cricket Club and Byron Bay Bowling and Recreation Club have joined forces in a new partnership.

Bowling club secretary-manager Mark Brown and local cricket executives Greg Daniels and Matt Irwin are very excited about the new deal which will benefit both clubs over hopefully a long period of time.

The proximity of the bowls club to the Rec Ground, home ground of the cricket club, where every week at least five games of juniors, seniors and twilight are played, is a huge advantage to members of both clubs.

The cricket club is about to enter a new era with construction of new wickets, including a turf, to begin next year.
