Tim and Faith's chemistry unmatched

Country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will headline CMC Rocks the Hunter 2012.
Country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will headline CMC Rocks the Hunter 2012.

FAITH Hill is the woman you turn to, to mend your broken heart, to give you strength to stay away from an ex-partner or to help you  believe in yourself  and last night she brought her incredible voice and soulful songs to Brisbane.

The county music star is in town for three shows at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre with her equally talented, heart-throb of a husband, Tim McGraw.

Hill opened the show with her hit song Mississippi Girl and followed it up with the popular, This Kiss.

And the hits didn't stop coming, with her playing  many of her old songs including The Way You Love Me, Breathe and Wild One.

She also showcased a couple of her new songs, including  600 Years from her soon-to-be released album.

But the moment which brought the crowd to its feet was when McGraw walked on stage for the first time to sing Like We Never Loved At All.

The pair's chemistry was infectious and brought tears to the eyes of many fans, and I was definitely one of them.

It was the most beautiful experience to watch two people who love each other so much sing together.

McGraw then did a solo set showcasing a broad range of his hits from his career of more than 20 years including songs from his recently released album Emotional Traffic.

His song It Felt Good On My Lips brought the house down.

Hill and McGraw interacted with the audience a lot, much to the delight of fans, with McGraw even going into the crowd and singing from the stair well, side of stage.

If you weren't a fan of country music or the musical power couple before the show, then you would have been after the musical brilliance of this collaborative show.

It was not a display of pyrotechnics or aerial gymnasts. It was back to basics - musicians and a bit of lighting.

Supporting Hill and McGraw was Texan four-piece Eli Young Band and although I didn't know any of their music before seeing them play, I came away a fan.

The band's music was fun, catchy and a little bit cheeky and they all definitely knew how to get you in a great mood.

It was a feel-good concert, with some truly beautiful and heartfelt songs as well as some anthemic country tunes.

Hill and McGraw closed their three-hour set with I Need You, in an intimate setting of two chairs and a microphone.

The pair sat facing each other, legs intertwined, hands on each other's legs and the only thing between their lips was the microphone.

It was by far the most amazing concert I have ever seen, and if I had the money then I would go back to see tonight and tomorrow night's shows.

My wish was fulfilled to see Faith Hill and Tim McGraw was an added bonus.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill play the final two shows of their Australian tour tonight and tomorrow night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Limited tickets still available through Ticketek.
