THE Northern Rivers went in with more than 10 nominations at this year's ARIAs and came out with four wins.

The Jezabels, featuring Hayley Mary, Heather Shannon and Sam Lockwood from the region, took out best independent release for their debut album Prisoner.

Grafton's proudest export, The McClymonts, took out best country album.

While The Wiggles, including Casino's Jeff Fatt, won best children's album for Surfer Jeff.

Styalz Fuego, or Kaelyn Behr as he was known when he attended Byron Bay High School, took out producer of the year for working on 360's Falling and Flying.

The Australian Recording Industry Association's award night was held last night at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
