UPDATE 9.15am: POLICE have confirmed Mary Felton has been found safe and well.

No further details about what happened to Mary or why she disappeared were available.

5pm: POLICE are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 16-year-old Lismore girl Mary Felton.

Mary was last seen outside a kebab shop in the main street of Byron Bay with a group of unidentified males at around 1am Sunday morning.

As she has not made contact with family or friends since, she hasn't communicated via Facebook, and she did not attend school today, Police have concerns for her welfare.

Any person who has had contact with Mary since Saturday night is encouraged to contact Lismore Police, the Missing Persons Unit or Crimestoppers.
