TOOWOOMBA'S first baby born in 2012 could also be named the cutest.
Harrison Becke, who was born at 12.15am on January 1, is in the running to scoop up a 12-month modelling contract and $5000 in Practical Parenting magazine's Cover Cutie competition.
With his big blue eyes and wide smile, the eight-month-old bub is now in the top 100.
Mother Ashleigh Rosengreen said it was the first time she had entered her cherished son in a competition.
"I saw the competition advertised on a morning show on TV and thought why not do it for fun," she said.
"Anyone can vote. I've been getting my friends and families to."
Launched last month, the competition is still open, with entries able to be uploaded until October 11.
Five national finalists will be revealed in Practical Parenting's December issue and the overall winner will be announced in the January issue, on sale December 19.
