BEFORE Styalz Fuego was taking home ARIAs he was taking home Dolphin Awards.
The North Coast Entertainment Industry Association's award night is on at the Star Court Theatre, Lismore on Tuesday and this year it's bigger than ever.
The awards started in 1991 with the aim of raising the profile of the music and entertainment industry in the region.
Past winners include Styalz Fuego, known as Kaelyn Behr to his Byron High School friends, who took out two awards in 2002 in the youth and funk/hip hop categories.
Behr, this week, took home an ARIA for producer of the year for 360's Falling and Flying.
Diana Anaid, Marshall and The Fro, Scarlett Affection, Grinspoon, Jo Jo Smith and Samantha McClymont also picked up Dolphin Awards, which helping to kick-start their careers in the industry.
This year's finalists for album of the year are The Mid North, The Re-Mains, Brett Hamlyn and Scarlett Affection. In the running for song of the year are Dave Scott, Parissa Bouas, Wild Jester and Brett Hamlyn.
NCEIA pulled in judges from throughout the industry including Tex Perkins, Sam Cutler and Robbie Buck.
Buck, former triple j and current ABC Radio National presenter, said he was impressed with the talent and would be happy to take part in the judging process again.
Performances from Andrea Soler, Minnie Marks, Dan Hannaford, Round Mountain Girls, Kyle Lionhart, Scarlett Affection, Peter Westheimer and Shea O'Toole will help create a winning atmosphere.
